Bryce Harper Can't Celebrate With the Older Boys

The Washington Nationals clinched the National League East division with a loss to the Phillies when the Braves also lost to the Pirates on Monday night.  The last time the franchise won the division, whether in Montreal or Washington?  1981.

Players in the locker room donned their playoff hats, shirts and snorkel masks when the news was official, and cracked open countless bottles of champagne in celebration.  One player was noticeably absent from the festivities, however. 

Only 19-years-old, Bryce Harper could not partake in the shindig, and instead celebrated with first baseman Adam LaRoche's 9-year-old son, Drake, according to The Washington Post.  The two celebrated in a separate room, spraying apple cider.

Another Reason to Hate Bryce Harper

Nationals rookie outfielder Bryce Harper has made headlines this season for numerous reasons. From his hot start after getting to The Show, to refusing to answer "clown questions," the 19-year-old thinks he has everything figured out.

Sunday afternoon, Harper was up in the 4th inning with a runner on and a four run lead.  So can someone explain to me why he throws a tantrum and breaks his bat after striking out in a meaningless at bat?  His immaturity is the reason he was sent down so early in spring training last season, and now that he's up, it doesn't appear much has changed.

I'll give him a few points for having the strength to shatter the bat, but take more points away for being a tool.

Bryce Harper Does Not Like 'Clown Questions...' Bro

I hate Bryce Harper.  Yeah, he's better than me at baseball, but that's the least of it.  He's an arrogant bastard, he has one of the dumbest haircuts, wears three pounds of eye black, and is an arrogant bastard.  Anyone who seriously uses the term "bro" is a huge bro.  Especially in this circumstance.

What is a "clown question," Bryce?  Enlighten us on that terminology, with your infinite wisdom.  Is it that difficult to laugh the question off if you don't want to answer it?  Definitely something to get upset about.  You're very cool.
